I love the idea of declarative working. It’s an application of social networking in business that I hadn’t considered, and yet it has become clear to me as I’ve sat at home for the last couple of weeks recovering from an operation that the ability to see what your employees are doing, to follow their conversations, to see them post documents to collaborative project areas, to watch them tick off items from shared task lists, can be a more accurate and more rewarding view of productivity than the general sense you get from sharing an office.
